His agency, Fantagio, expressed deep condolences and sorrow, saying, "We cannot compare our sadness and shock to the grief of Moonbin's loving family and siblings who have lost him, but Astro members, our Fantagio artists and staff, who have been with him for a long time, are deeply mourning for him." They added, "We are saddened even more to inform the fans who have always loved and supported Moonbin with endless love of this sudden news. As he always loved and cared for his fans more than anyone, it is even more heartbreaking for us."

The agency also announced that all funeral procedures for Moonbin would be carried out privately.

Moonbin's brother, Billy Moon Soo-ah, is stationed at the Seoul Asan Hospital funeral home. Astro members Sanha and Jinjin were already at the funeral home, and MJ, who is serving in the military, received emergency leave. Rocky, who left the team in January, is also keeping watch over the funeral home.

In addition, Cha Eun-woo, who was scheduled to return from the United States after attending a Dior show on the 10th and was scheduled to arrive on the 24th, returned earlier on the 20th after hearing the news of Moonbin's sudden death.
