This marks BTS's fourth work to receive a Double Platinum certification, following "Dynamite," "Permission to Dance," and "Butter." Among these, "Dynamite" received a Diamond certification, while "Permission to Dance" and "Butter" received Triple Platinum certifications.

"Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)" is a song about attention and love for "you," and the joy of small and simple love. The track features popular American singer Halsey. Upon its release, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #8 and remained on the chart for eight consecutive weeks.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan divides certifications into Gold (over 50 million plays), Platinum (over 100 million plays), and Diamond (over 500 million plays) based on cumulative play counts, and announces them through its official website.
