While Black Pink hit various global charts with its second full-length pre-release song "Pink Venom," the MV of "As If It's Your Last" surpassed 1.2 billion views.
According to YG Entertainment on the 22nd, BLACKPINK's 2017 music video for "As If It's Your Last" surpassed 1.2 billion views on YouTube at 6:46 p.m. the previous day.
It's been about five years and a month since it was released, but the trend of increasing the number of views has been steep recently. YG speculated that the number of YouTube subscribers (now more than 78.2 million) before and after BLACKPINK's comeback on August 19 jumped by nearly 1.5 million and the holiday season was combined.
With the addition of the music video for "As If It's Your Last," BLACKPINK will have a total of five video contents with more than 1.2 billion views on YouTube. Earlier, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" (1.9 billion views), "Kill This Love" (1.6 billion views), "BOOMBAYAH" (1.4 billion views), and "How You Like That" choreography video (1.2 billion views) achieved the same number of views.
"YouTube Queen" BLACKPINK's unrivaled move is expected to continue. The music video for "Pink Venom," a pre-released song for the second full-length album, reached 100 million views in 29 hours, breaking the record of the shortest K-pop girl group, and has been maintaining the top spot on YouTube for three days.
