HYBE and the Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Asia-Pacific Region (APAC) announced on the 12th that they will collaborate on global content to showcase the creative excellence of the Korean music and entertainment industry to the global market.
Through this collaboration, a total of five contents produced by HYBE will be released to Disney streaming services around the world, including two works starring members of "21st Century Pop Icon" BTS (BTS).
HYBE CEO Park Ji-won said, "Hive's high-quality contents, which have been produced for fans who love music and artists for a long time, can be introduced to more global viewers through Disney's streaming service."
Jessica Kam-Engle, Asia-Pacific content and development manager at the Walt Disney Company, said, "We look forward to seeing Hive's work spread worldwide through global Disney streaming services, including Disney+."
The contents released through the Disney streaming service are as follows.
'BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage-LA': It is a content that contains live performances of BTS concerts held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in November 2021 and will be released exclusively through Disney+. It contains a dramatic moment of meeting fans face-to-face with fans in about two years since the COVID-19 pandemic began. You can check out performance videos such as "Butter" and "Permission to Dance," which have topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"In the Forest: Friendship Travel": A reality travel program starring BTS (BTS) member V, actors Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-sik, Park Hyung-sik, and singer Pick Boy, featuring five friends who went on a surprise trip enjoying "between daily life and rest."
"BTS Monuments: BEYOND THE STAR" is a chronological documentary series that records BTS's history from its debut to the present, and contains vast music and videos over the past nine years, as well as how the members have risen to the present. It will also contain inner stories such as the small daily lives of the members preparing for the second chapter, current thoughts, and future plans. It will be released exclusively through the Disney streaming service in 2023.
