BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" has surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify.
According to YG Entertainment on July 18, it is about 10 months after achieving 500 million times on Spotify in September last year and the second record of BLACKPINK's career following "How You Like That." Black Pink is the only K-pop girl group with 600 million streaming songs on Spotify.
BLACKPINK's other mega-hit song "DDU-DU DDU-DU" is also set to stream 600 million streams on Spotify, and their record is expected to continue.
"Kill This Love," released in April 2019, is a song mainly composed of strong lead brass and magnificent drum sound and is steadily gaining popularity.
Addictive point choreography, such as shooting a long gun, has captivated global music fans, and the music video currently has more than 1.6 billion views.
"Kill This Love" ranked 24th and 41st on the U.S. Billboard 200 and Hot 100, respectively, breaking the top K-pop girl group rankings at that time. It also topped the iTunes song chart in the U.S., the first time for a K-pop girl group.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to make a full comeback in August. In addition, it announced sequential large-scale projects, including the largest world tour in K-pop history.
