Singer Psy is coming back.

His agency PNATION announced on the 12th that Psy will release his 9th full-length album on the 29th.

It is the first time in five years that Psy has released a full-length album, "PSY 8th 4X2=8," released in May 2017. In particular, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Psy's popular song "Champion" and the 10th anniversary of the release of the mega-hit song "Gangnam Style," which captivated the world, so the comeback in a long time is meaningful.

Psy, who is also the head of Fination, released a teaser video before the comeback on his official SNS.

On December 24, 2013, in a video of the concert, Psy said in front of the audience, "I know that many people have expectations for the new song. In fact, it took exactly 10 years to make "Champion" in 2002 and make a song that beat "Champion." "Gangnam Style" came out in 2012, he said. "Maybe it will be 2022 to meet songs like 'Gangnam Style' again." It then contained the phrases "PSY 9th" and "2022.04.29 FRI 6PM (KST)."

Psy achieved the milestone of ranking second on the Billboard main chart "Hot 100" for the first seven weeks as a K-pop singer with "Gangnam Style," and the music video of "Gangnam Style" surpassed 1 billion views and 2 billion views for the first time on YouTube. At that time, it was the beginning of changing the aggregation method to the first video that exceeded the limit of views that YouTube could display. Currently, it has surpassed 4.38 billion views.

Psy, who appeared in the K-pop scene with the song "Bird" in 2001, has produced countless hits, including "Champion," "Gentleman," "DADDY," "Faller Pants," and "New Face." Since 2019, it has established PNATION and has been operating the company stably by recruiting Jessie, Hyuna, Dawn, Crush, Heize, Penomeco, and Swings. On May 17, they produced their first idol group, TNX, which will officially debut.
